Who We Are
ibms Frankfurt is an independent, non-profit Montessori school serving families from Frankfurt and the wider Rhine–Main region. We offer a bilingual learning environment that brings together internationally recognised Montessori principles with the requirements and expectations of the German educational framework.
As a community-based school, ibms is committed to providing high-quality education that is both academically strong and deeply human — grounded in respect for each child as an individual learner.

Our Educational Philosophy
At ibms, we believe that children learn best when they are trusted, appropriately challenged, and supported by skilled teachers.
Our Montessori approach encourages independence, responsibility, and intrinsic motivation, enabling children to develop strong foundations for lifelong learning — academically, socially, and emotionally.
Bilingual Learning in a Global Context
Language is central to how children understand the world. At ibms, bilingual education is woven naturally into everyday school life, allowing children to develop confidence and fluency in both languages from an early age.
This bilingual foundation supports cognitive development, intercultural understanding, and prepares students to navigate an increasingly interconnected world while remaining firmly rooted in the local educational context.

Learning Environment
ibms classrooms are carefully prepared environments designed to foster curiosity, focus, and meaningful engagement. Children are encouraged to explore concepts at their own pace, work independently or collaboratively, and take increasing ownership of their learning.
Our teachers observe closely, guide thoughtfully, and intervene intentionally — ensuring that each child is supported while being encouraged to stretch beyond their comfort zone.
Community and Partnership
Education at ibms is a shared endeavour. We see parents as active partners in their child’s educational journey and place great value on open communication, mutual trust, and a strong sense of community.
As a non-profit school, ibms is guided by educational purpose rather than commercial interest. Decisions are made with the long-term well-being of children and the school community at their core.

Preparing Children for the Future
ibms aims to nurture confident, capable, and compassionate young people — children who are curious thinkers, responsible community members, and resilient learners.
By combining Montessori pedagogy, bilingual education, and alignment with German educational standards, ibms provides an education that is both internationally minded and locally grounded.
Choosing the right school is an important decision.
